The September Meeting

Thanks to arrangements made by Helen Hoyningen-Hune we linked up with Germany, courtesy of Zoom, to enjoy a presentation on the “Diversity of Orchids in Ecuador by Frank Gohlke. We travelled the length and breadth of the country seeing many different orchids from Masdevallias to Phragmipedilum. Frank’s excellent photographs also introduced some of the fauna of Ecuador including birds and butterflies. It was a very interesting talk and we hope to link up with more orchid enthusiasts in Germany in the future.

Appropriaely Helen was the table show winner with a fine plant of Vanda Lilaccina x Vanda coerulea.
